Dr. Raquel Fidalgo

Titular de Universidad en el Área de Psicología Evolutiva y de la Educación de la Universidad de León.

She teaches students in the Kindergarten Education degree, master’s in Research in Psychology and Educational Sciences, master’s in Educational Orientation and PhD. Program in Educational Psychology and Educational Sciences at University of Leon. 

Her main research interest focus on the study of written composition from a psychological perspective and an educational approach aimed at improving the acquisition of writing competence and preventing learning disabilities in writing. She has written several papers published in prestigious scientific journals. She has participated and led various competitive national and international research projects. Over the past few years, she has supervised several doctoral thesis, all of them qualified as Sobresaliente Cum Lauded and awarded, in some cases, with the University of Leon PhD Extraordinary Award. Some of these theses have also been developed under FPU or FPI predoctoral grants, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities or The Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, respectively. Currently, she is a co-editor of the series Studies in Writing (https://cutt.ly/BfJdgqR), an active member of the Certification Comission D17 of Behavioural Sciences of ANECA (https://cutt.ly/QfJdhi4) and representative of Spain in the Management Committee of the European Literacy Network (https://cutt.ly/0fJdhNQ). Additionally, she is part of the Expert Panel of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE).
