Doctor in Psychology and Educational Sciences since 2012. She got the Extraordinary Award in both her PhD and her degree. She currently teaches in different degrees, master’s and the PhD Program of Faculty of Education, at University of Leon. As a member of the Teaching Innovation Group in Teaching and Learning (IDEA Group), she has participated in more than 10 innovation projects. She has occupied several positions in academic management related to tutorial action, coordination of several university grades or membership of academic committees. Her main research interest within the CAEL team focuses on the role of families on the development of reading-writing competence of kindergarten and elementary school children. She has conducted several evaluative and instructional studies in this field. She has taken part in more than 20 national and international projects and research agreements, two of them funded by the European program COST. She is part of several national and European scientific societies and she has taken research stays with reputable professionals in the field of educational psychology and literacy. She has various publications in high-impact scientific journals and books. She is a member of the academic assessment committee and the editorial board of several scientific journals.
