She is a Primary Teacher with the English mention and graduate in Psicopedagogy with the and- of-degree Extraordinary Award. She completed two master’s, one in Educational Orientation and the other in Research in Psychology and Educational Sciences, having obtained the Extraordinary Award in the latest. She has great training and experience in assessing and intervention in both reading and writing disabilities. She currently works as non-doctor teaching- researcher staff in the area of Evolutionary Psychology and Education (PEE) at University of Leon. Her main research interests focus on: a) the analysis of the teaching practice and whether it adjusts to the empirical evidence in the scientific field of writing instruction; and b) the influence of teachers’ beliefs on their instructional practice. Her research line aims to design future professional development programs to improve teachers’ training in the teaching of writing and, therefore, to improve students’ writing performance. Her thesis is currently being developed under a predoctoral grant for University Teachers’ Training (FPU) awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
